I've already reviewed the Asus Zenfone 6's flip camera, and having spent a week with this speedy Zen UI smartphone, there's a lot to love. Here's my impressions of the battery life, performance, software experience, audio and screen tech, plus the bits of the Zenfone 6 which don't quite work. To be honest, there's not much to dislike.
With its powerful hardware and near stock Android Pie UI, this Asus handset is one of my favourite mid-range mobiles of 2019 - and solid competition for the OnePlus 7, Huawei P30 and other recent smartphones. The main feature is that reversible camera, which can shoot 4K 60FPS video either front or back ways like the Galaxy A80. However, the new Zenfone also boasts top-end performance with its Snapdragon 855 platform and a massive 5000mAh battery.
Likewise, Zen UI 6 has been overhauled so it's clean and tidy, while still offering features like the Game Genie and gesture control.
Are you tempted by the Zenfone 6? Have a squint at my OnePlus 7 Pro review to see one of its biggest rivals in action!
